Hi, I’m Lulita. I am a passionate maker of beautiful and delicious desserts. I started baking after moving to Australia in 1994 and have not stopped since.

Since its inception in 2020, Bakers Workshop has had the privilege of serving a diverse clientele, from creating birthday cakes, wedding cakes, to hundreds of cookies for corporate clients. I am grateful for the opportunity to turn your events into sweet memories. The support and enthusiasm from our customers have fueled the growth of Bakers Workshop, and I am excited to continue this sweet journey, spreading happiness one dessert at a time.

FAQs

  • Our registered kitchen is located in Glen Waverley, near Waverley Private Hospital. The address will be sent to you once the order is confirmed.

  • Similar to other made-to-order products, we require at least 7 days advanced notice to be able to accommodate your order. We do not carry spares or frozen stock.

    For postal orders, please allow an extra 7 days for transit time.

    During peak season such as Christmas, we have scheduled pick up dates to optimise efficiency and provide a reliable service experience.

  • The price of a cake is determined by its size and design. To determine the size, please refer to the Cake Serving Charts in the Cake Info page. My cake also runs a little taller than the industry standard. You can rest assured that there will be enough cakes for all your guests.

    As for the design, optional elements such as fresh florals, fondant figurines, wafer paper elements, sugar flowers, etc., will have incurred additional charges.

  • For the custom cake option, you can choose from the pre-selected menu or mix and match from the list. If you have more than one tier, you could choose one flavour per tier. Please refer to the Cake Info page.

    As for cookies, our default offering is our best-seller vanilla bean cookies.

  • No dietary restriction options are available for all cookie products.

    For cake products, we offer gluten-free, nut-free, egg-free, and vegan options.

    However, while we take every precaution to prevent allergen cross-contamination, please be aware that our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles allergens such as nuts, wheat, eggs, and dairy, and therefore, there might still be a minute trace. By placing an order, customers acknowledge and accept the risk associated with severe allergies.

  • Cakes: Properly storing a cake is important to maintain its freshness and structural integrity. The cake should be kept cold (refrigerated) and out of direct sunlight. Our cakes are butter-based, which means it gives a wonderful mouth feel. However, cold butter = solid texture, so they are best enjoyed at room temperature (around mid 20c).

    According to Food Safety Rules, the cakes should always be refrigerated. It should be taken out 1-2hrs before servings to bring to room temperature and left out at room temp no longer than 4 hours.

    Cookies: Our cookies have no preservatives. They are packaged in biodegradable Natureflex cookie bags, or POF shrink wrap (made from 100% recyclable materials) to limit exposure to air and prolong shelf life. Also being a low moisture product, our cookies have a shelf life of around 6 weeks when stored in cool, dry place.

  • All of our mailer boxes, tissue paper, and cardboard packaging are recyclable. Any clear plastic window should be removed before recycling the cardboard part of the packaging.

    Most of our consumables (e.g. piping bags, cookie bags, etc.) are carefully sourced to ensure that they are environmentally friendly. We are proud to happily share these suppliers to spread awareness and encourage the use of these wonderful products.
